IGANZ was born and bred in Auckland, New Zealand with a raw passion to grow the sport of long drive. After just 16 months IGANZ’s international schedule has grown to include events in 5 countries (New Zealand, Australia, Pacific Islands, China, and South Africa).  With the opening of the new offices in the United States the “Mother of Long Drive” will have her “kids” on four continents as the worldwide footprint of IGANZ continues to expand.

Hall of Famer Mike Gorton has been appointed an IGANZ ambassador to lead the company’s efforts in North America and to be the coach of the New Zealand National Long Drive. Gorton is a five-time World Champion and is the only hitter ever to win titles in the Open (1987), Senior (2000), Super Senior (2007 & 2008), and Champions (2014) divisions. He was one of the longest and straightest hitters in the history of Long Drive.

Here is a list of just some of his accomplishments during his  Hall of Fame career:

Mike Gorton said: “I am honored to have been picked to head IGANZ in the US. It is really exciting to work with Olna and the team she has assembled because she has a great vision for the future of long drive.”

Gorton added: “As the coach of the New Zealand Long Blacks I hope to use my 30+ years experience of competing for championships to develop the best national team possible.”

Meanwhile Shay Brown and Sherile Turner of Luxore Media, LLC have been appointed to manage international public relations, major sponsorships for International events and marketing efforts for IGANZ. The firm has offices in Memphis, TN and London, England. The agency’s clients have included PGA Tour events as well as celebrity clients such as Michael Jordan. A boutique style public relations the firm works with US based and international clients in the areas of public relations, media relations, event and conference production, digital marketing, investor relations, sponsorship, trade show marketing, and business development.
